General Questions
Common questions about KLDM features and usage.
Yes! KLDM is completely free to download and use. The app is supported by non-intrusive advertisements. Some advanced features may be offered as optional in-app purchases in the future, but the core download manager functionality will always remain free.
Absolutely. KLDM automatically saves download progress and can resume where it left off after network drops, app restarts, or even device reboots. This is especially useful for large files where starting over would waste time and data.
Notifications let you see download progress in real-time and control downloads (pause, resume, cancel) directly from the notification shade without opening the app. On Android 13 and above, apps must explicitly request notification permission. You can deny this permission, but you won't see download progress notifications.
Android may pause background apps to save battery. This can interrupt downloads when you switch to another app or turn off the screen. Disabling battery optimization for KLDM ensures downloads continue reliably even when the app isn't in the foreground. You can always change this setting later in Android Settings → Apps → KLDM → Battery.
By default, files are saved to Download/KLDM/ with automatic category subfolders (e.g., Download/KLDM/Videos/, Download/KLDM/Documents/). You can also choose a custom location using Android's Storage Access Framework (SAF), which lets you pick any folder you have access to securely.
KLDM can download video files from direct download links. For streaming sites, the Fetch Media feature may detect some downloadable streams — but this depends on how the site delivers content and whether the site allows it. Some platforms restrict media extraction due to licensing or policy reasons.
Yes! KLDM is built and tested specifically for modern Android versions (12–16) and follows the latest platform guidelines. We regularly update the app to ensure compatibility with new Android releases and to take advantage of new platform features.

Yes, KLDM supports multi-connection downloads where the server allows it. This can speed up downloads by fetching different parts of a file simultaneously. However, not all servers support this feature, and some may limit the number of connections. KLDM automatically detects what's supported.
Yes! You can add downloads to a queue and start them manually, or configure the app to start downloads at a specific time. This is useful if you want to download large files during off-peak hours or when connected to Wi-Fi.
Yes, KLDM includes a lightweight in-app browser that makes it easy to find and capture download links while browsing. The browser supports bookmarks, tabs, and can detect downloadable content on web pages. You can also share links from other browsers to KLDM.
Go to the app settings and look for browser/privacy options. You can clear cookies, cache, browsing history, and other website data. You can also configure the browser to clear data automatically when you close it.
Fetch Media
Learn about the Fetch Media feature and why it may be restricted on some sites.
Fetch Media is a feature that helps detect downloadable media links (like videos, audio, and images) from webpages and shows them in one convenient place. Instead of searching for download links manually, Fetch Media scans the page and presents what it finds.
Some websites restrict media extraction and downloads due to policy, licensing, or platform rules. These restrictions are set by the website owners to protect copyrighted content or comply with distribution agreements. KLDM respects these restrictions and does not attempt to bypass them.
Fetch Media may be unavailable on many sites, including major platforms like YouTube, Netflix, Spotify, and other streaming services. Social media platforms and news sites may also have restrictions. The exact list of restricted sites may change over time.
Normal browsing still works perfectly on all websites. You can browse, view content, and use the sites as usual. Only the Fetch Media detection feature may be limited or disabled on restricted sites. If a site offers its own download option, you can still use that.
KLDM will show a message like 'Fetch Media isn't supported on this site.' when the feature is blocked or unavailable. This message appears when you try to use Fetch Media on a restricted domain.
No. There's no setting to force Fetch Media on websites where it's disabled. This is intentional to respect content policies and licensing agreements. Attempting to bypass these restrictions could violate terms of service and copyright laws.
No. Fetch Media runs entirely locally on your device. It only analyzes the webpage you're currently viewing and shows what it can detect. No data about your browsing or media detection is sent to our servers or any third party.
If the website provides its own download option, use that. Many platforms offer official download features for offline viewing. Otherwise, try downloading from sources where you have rights and where direct downloads are supported. Always respect copyright and licensing terms.
Permissions
Understanding why KLDM requests certain Android permissions.
Internet permission is required to download files from the web and to load pages in the in-app browser. Without this permission, the app cannot function as a download manager.
Storage access allows KLDM to save downloaded files to your device. We use Android's Storage Access Framework (SAF) which means you explicitly choose which folders the app can access. KLDM cannot access files outside the folders you've granted access to.
Foreground Service permission allows downloads to continue when the app is in the background or when your screen is off. Android requires apps to declare this permission for reliable background operations. You'll see a notification while downloads are active.
Battery optimization can pause or kill apps running in the background. For a download manager, this means downloads might stop unexpectedly. The request to ignore battery optimization is optional but recommended for reliable downloads. You can always change this in Android settings.
No. KLDM only accesses the specific folders you grant permission to for saving downloads. It does not scan, read, or access your photos, documents, or other personal files unless you explicitly choose those folders as download destinations.
Troubleshooting
Solutions to common issues and problems.
First, check your internet connection. Then verify the download link is still valid (some links expire). Try clearing the app cache in Android settings. If the server limits connections, try downloading one file at a time. For persistent issues, email us with details at kldm@coinloot.in.
This is usually caused by battery optimization. Go to Android Settings → Apps → KLDM → Battery and select 'Unrestricted' or 'Don't optimize'. Some device manufacturers (Xiaomi, Huawei, Samsung) have additional battery settings that may need adjustment.
Download speed depends on your internet connection, the server's speed, and any limits the server imposes. Try pausing other downloads, checking if other apps are using bandwidth, or downloading at a different time. Some servers intentionally limit speeds for free downloads.
Check the Downloads section in KLDM to see where each file was saved. You can tap on a completed download to open it or its folder. By default, files go to the Downloads folder, but you may have chosen a different location. Use a file manager app to browse your storage.
Try clearing the app cache (Android Settings → Apps → KLDM → Storage → Clear Cache). If that doesn't help, try clearing app data (note: this resets app settings). Make sure you have the latest version from Google Play. If issues persist, email us with your device model and Android version.
